i went into this quirky cute little shop on the danforth called Lemur which sells products that are of canadian design and/or made of natural fibers & recycled materials.  I found this COOL bag that reminded me of GaGa!  i originally liked the blue one but then fell for the black one as usual.  the tag says:

a new twist on grandma's swim cap.  we've turned it into a crazy cosmetic bag that's padded, washable and waterproof...and if u dare, use it as a clutch! 

there is nothing more *gaga -like* then taking something out of everyday life (a teacup, a bow tie.. maybe a swim cap eventually) and making it quirky/eccentric/crazy!

funny thing is i read it after i bought it :P  i thot it was a clutch all along!  i will definitely use it as one.. soo so funKy ! what do u think?

hi all.. (I feel like i'm writing an email for work) lol.  so i've been taking some people's suggestions about my blog.. i put up some tunes as requested.  divyan and tejal mentioned they'd want to see more expression through words.. so here i am.  i thought what better occasion then gaga.. the experience.. I can give my 2 cents on the concert which was on monday nite :D (seems like it was so long ago).

so my seats weren't great which I originally wasn't too fussed about.. but I realized the energy was much higher closer to the stage.  sure you can go to a concert and enjoy the music but it's just not as intense.. at least for this type of show.  So I didn't get any amazingly groovy crazy shots of ms.gaga
:( sorry guys.. anyway, let's just say there were points where her crotch was on fire (shooting out sparks?) and where she was wearing random costumes made of hair or yarn lol.. and she also played the piano with her foot for a bit.. (coo coo coo coo).. yeah she is a crazy one! 

can i just say though that she has an amazing amazing voice!!  she is awesome live.. and i really respect her for that.  she sang her new song You and I (which she wrote) while playing the piano..  .. it's different .. more rock n roll.. neeru and I really liked it.  i love that she is so smart. and strategic,in the sense that she created a platform for herself by coming out with songs like *Just Dance* and *Poker Face* which appeal to a large audience and now that she has this huge fan base she can truly sing/write and do whatever the hell she wants!  lady gaga=dance, house, disco, pop, rock, electro.. and the list goes on.  maybe in this day and age being able to adapt and transform yourself is the key to being successful...?

so the show itself was pretty good.  I think with better seats I might have enjoyed it even more.  one thing I noted was that she is very very EXTREME.  she meshes controversial themes like sex, love, drugs, vanity, fame with younger themes like monsters, horror, glitz, glam.  she has an obbsession with monsters, and kept saying to put your paws up.. lol:

so obviously we did comply.. lol it's lady gaga so we had to listen :P  her obbsession with blood and guts and monsters .. it is weird.. but i think her mission is to show the world that ugly can be beautiful or that.. maybe we shouldn't be afraid of things that are seen as bad, crazy or weird in society, even yarn outfits, flaming bras and face wraps :S lol  O and she did mention how she supports the lesbian gay bisexual transgendered community.  she really loves the gays! and they love her.  Now don't get me wrong i'm all for the gays BUT i mean what about the str8 people?. she shouldn't leave them out lol... represent for all no?

ok last thing..before/after the concert we saw some impersonators. some bad. some really bad (epic fails according to neeru).. what do you think?

i think they did alright!! but as neeru would say (ANWS lol):  gaga is imitated but never duplicated~

and i guess thats the whole point of her message: be yourself.. as crazy as that person mite be ! 

okay this post is SO long.. happeeeeeeee tejal and divyan?  my guts, blood, sweat, tears and soul ... all right here in my blog.

...okay. the first thing i love about this is that it's the same picture.. just edited differently.  one is dark.. and one is light.. kind of like how people see things and situations differently... [perspective] i guess ? hmmmm... I was just playing around with my camera and I remember my friend preeti once said.. "my camera is like my eye".  I was thinking the same thing...   

this picture reminds me of lady gaga too :$  .. she covers her eyes a lot randomly..  and there are also some shots of her with a Nikon SLR when she decided to snap back at the paparazzi :P ..  FYI.. she recently became a creative director at Polaroid (owned by Nikon) which I think is sick.  she is transcending many barriers and becoming an icon in various industries..fashion, music, photography etc.  *unstoppable*

p.s. I totally need a SLR camera soon... mom ? :)  anyone?   X.

GAGA CONCERT TOMORROW ♫♥

Okay.. let's just say I was feeling a little bit "uninspired" this week..or at least less than usual... although I wanted to blog anyway as I think a weekly update is important. I think the problem was that I forgot my camera at home this wknd :( and I ended up at the coolest art exhibit at Nathan Phillips Sq. on Saturday. It was amazing and incredible but I kept seeing things I would've wanted to take a picture of for my blog. Anyway.. tomorrow is the Lady GaGa concert.. and if you're friends with me you'll know how excited I probably am!!!! gaga (8) lol..

so there's nothing like an amazing artistic genious like ms. gaga herself to get my creative juices flowing right? I think she is incredible and the fact that she is my age really inspires me! I am loving the alejandro video right now despite all the criticism it's getting.

Okay next weekend I'll put up some new *inspired* stuff from the concert. p.s. who is alejandro :P ?
